ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan has called a meeting on October 27 to discuss constituency delimitation and census results with the officials of law ministry and statistics department, sources informed Geo News on Wednesday.
In a meeting presided by the ECP chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza, the institution expressed its deep concerns over the hiatus it is facing as the department has not yet been given official census results, neither electoral lists from concerned departments.
The chief election commissioner said in the meeting that in case a constitutional amendment for delimitation is not passed soon then there are high chances of delay in elections. He warned that the ECP would not responsible in case of any delay.
ECP members have decided to raise their concerns in their meeting with officials on October 27.
