ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will return to country early Monday morning, sources confided to Geo News Sunday.
Sharif, who was in London on account of his wife, Kulsoom Nawaz, treatment for cancer, has decided to immediately return to country. Reports previously suggested the former premier will stay in London until complete recovery of his wife.
However, it has now been learnt that Sharif will be returning to country early Monday morning. He will reach Islamabad through PIA flight PK-786 at around 7 am, sources said.
Reached for comment, PML-N spokesman Mushahidullah Khan confirmed to Geo News that the former prime minister will be returning home on Monday.
Sources further said that Nawaz decided to immediately return to country following a consultation meeting with PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif in London.
