KARACHI: Citizens witnessed a massive traffic jam on Karachi’s II Chundrigar Road as long queues of vehicles were formed on Wednesday evening.
Commuters returning home from work were stuck as traffic remained clogged mostly.
It has been learnt that gridlock resulted from a religious gathering near II Chundrigar Road – one of the main thoroughfares of the metropolis.
The snarl-up caused congestion on connecting arteries in the vicinity, offering great difficulties to citizens.
Several traffic cops tried to maintain the flow of traffic, but the vehicles moved at a snail’s pace after long pauses.
